Star Shipping owns a large number of Unihooks located worldwide. These are state of the art, with handling features providing superior cargo care, quick hook up and automatic release. Splitting of cargo allowing easy access for lifting machines and damage free handling of the cargo. The crane capacity is up to 60 metric tons.

We own a broad range of lifting frames capable of lifting both single and double lift consisting of:

• 30 Units frame double
• 15 Units frame single
• 16 Units frame double 8 Unit single

This allow us to handle:

• Bale pulp Unitized with Cranston wire or Signode band
• Plywood, particleboard and lumber strapped or pre-slung
• Rolled pulp pre-slung with core slings
• Other pre-slung cargoes

Most of the fleet is equipped with rain protection, allowing vessels to work a number of cargoes in light to moderate precipitation maintaining cargo care and efficiency during load and discharge.

In addition to a roof, the cranes are equipped with side curtains and protection between the crane legs over the sill beam on the offshore side making the hold a complete "warehouse".
